The film does not focus its attention on the oceans, but on all the lives on our planet. It shows unpublished material, never-before-seen footage how our living in lockdown opened the door for nature to bounce back and thrive. Across the seas, skies, and lands, Earth found its rhythm when we came to a stop.
"The Year that Changed the World" tells about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially the restrictions introduced in many countries, on the environment. The film is narrated by David Attenborough - a famous British biologist, author of many films, programs and nature books. Tom Beard, the author of such documentary films as "Britain's Whale Hunters: The Untold Story" or "The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs", took up directing.

This is an unusual film with a very positive overtone of the pandemic on the environment, it's worth watching!
